This collapsible snake bagger rides compactly on your hip in an open sheath. It is super compact at only 22" long x 5" wide x 1-1/2" thick. May be carried this way until needed, freeing your hands. When a snake is discovered in the field, you can use a hook or tong with one hand and when ready, reach to your hip with the other. Pull out the Pro Bagger and with a flip of your wrist, the system locks in place ready for use. Overall size is 36 inches, but with a push of a button it can be extended to 48 inches long. This item was designed in the beginning for Mark O’Shea, needing a collapsible, lightweight system for fieldwork. He used it for over a year before we decided to release it to the public. This unit will be most useful for researchers and others wanting these capabilities. The triangular shaped hoop is approximately 20" wide and 15" out from handle. Warning: There is no top bar on the triangle that can be used to pin the bag shut! This is necessary to allow for the collapsibility of this unit. You will love this tool.
